Penn State York to celebrate commencement May 6

Penn State York will celebrate its 46th annual spring commencement at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 6, in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) at the campus. The ceremony is free and open to the public.

Michael F. Allen, executive vice president, business development, Harford Bank, Aberdeen, Maryland, is the commencement speaker. Allen is the former executive-in-residence of The Graham Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies at Penn State York.  He continues to serve on the Penn State York Advisory Board and is a member of the new Graham Advisory Board.

In addition to hearing from Allen, Penn State York will continue its open microphone tradition when graduates can speak to the audience for a moment. The top associate, baccalaureate, and master’s degree graduates will also say a few words. A number of former Penn State York students who completed their degree at another campus of Penn State will return to their home campus to receive their degrees during the ceremony.The campus will award associate, baccalaureate, and master's degrees during the program.  For those who cannot attend the event, Penn State York's commencement can be viewed on Comcast cable channel 18 and streaming on the website at york.psu.edu/commencement.
