Campus Life

Pinterest account gives a highly visual glimpse of life at Penn State

Pinterest urges users to "discover and save creative ideas," and Penn State's Pinterest account is bursting with 24 boards worth of discoveries.

One of the most rapidly growing social platforms, Pinterest is a shareable bookmarking platform driven solely by visuals.

Are you nostalgic about places where you laughed, lived and studied on our campuses? You’ll like the “Penn State Favorite Places” and “Penn State Campuses” boards. The “Days in the Life” board shares slice-of-life pins chronicling the year as it passes. The “Penn State Days Gone By” and “We Are #PennStateFamily" boards offer alumni pride and fan nostalgia. For inspiration, go to the “Blue Sky Encouragement” board. There are 3,900 Pinterest users following Penn State's account, with an average of 3,000 daily impressions. A space for collaboration, Penn State works with the Eberly College of Science Outreach team to populate the “Science-U: K-12” board with science content focused at younger audiences.
