Summer 2016 student parking registration available May 3

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, students interested in on-campus parking for Maymester, summer session I or all summer sessions may register exclusively online, Penn State Transportation Services has announced. All students, regardless of semester standing, are eligible to register for summer parking. To register, students need their Penn State ID, WebAccess user ID and password, local or campus address, and vehicle license plate number.

Upon completing the registration, students have access to a printable temporary permit that can be displayed on the dashboard to allow for immediate parking. Please note, however, that summer student permits are not mailed and must be picked up at the Parking Office during normal business hours. Permits may only be picked up by the registered permit holder, who must show their Penn State ID to receive the permit.

Normally located at 1 Eisenhower Parking Deck, the Parking Office is currently operating at a temporary space at University Support Building (USB) I, located along University Drive Extension on the north end of campus. The office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. With limited metered parking near the building, students are encouraged to use the no-fare Campus Shuttle (stop number 21) to travel to and from the USB I location. Visit the Campus Shuttle page on the Transportation Services website for more information on Campus Shuttle stops and times.

Information related to available permit options and pricing for summer 2016 can be found by visiting the student parking rates page on the Transportation Services website. Payment may be made by major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover) or by charge to the student's bursar account.

Beginning at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, June 26, registration will be available at prorated rates for students who need parking only during summer session II. All summer permits are valid through Monday, August 15.

If there are any questions, contact the Parking Office at 814-865-1436 or parking@psu.edu.
