University Libraries to survey undergraduate students

April 04, 2016

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Beginning April 4 the University Libraries is inviting a random sample of undergraduate students from all campuses to participate in a survey on library use.

The survey will be conducted in partnership with Ithaka S+R, a national research organization, and will ask questions about how students find and use information, their opinions of library services and spaces, and how the Libraries contributes to their success at Penn State.

The University Libraries has conducted user surveys in the past, but this will be the first to focus solely on the work habits and library use of undergraduate students. The results of this survey will help the Libraries make improvements to its services and spaces, in order to fully support student needs. Students who receive email invitations are encouraged to take the time to complete the survey.

The survey will run from April 4 to April 22 and will sample students from all campuses with undergraduate populations, including World Campus. Students who participate will have the chance to enter a drawing for one of 20 $50 gift cards to the Penn State Bookstore. For more information on the survey, contact Lana Munip at lana@psu.edu or 814-863-4265.
