UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — This week, we recognize four Penn Staters who go above and beyond what's asked of them in their work at the University and in doing so embody one of the Penn State Values. Thank you to:

Simon Song, at Penn State Harrisburg, whose nominator recognized him for Excellence: "Simon Song, database specialist at Penn State Harrisburg developed a commencement  app to improve the management of student data for the printed program, online registration and reader cards for the ceremony — ensuring data integrity and accuracy and (equally important) event staff sanity!"

Laurie Mulvey, in the College of the Liberal Arts, whose nominator recognized her for Respect: "Untiring effort to promote the understanding of diversity and tolerance in our students."

Cathy Holsing, in the College of the Liberal Arts, whose nominator recognized her for Integrity: "Cathy is the epitome of what the Penn State Values are about. She is a model employee and leads by example. Her leadership is what makes our unit a great place to work. I have never worked for someone who carries as much integrity as Cathy Holsing. Her value to our unit is priceless."

Tracy Walker, in Auxiliary and Business Services, whose nominator recognized her for Excellence: "Tracy has been incredibly helpful in helping us navigate the new access system for campus tours. She provides thorough answers for all our (many!) questions and has demonstrated excellent customer service."

Do you know someone who deserves a shout-out? If you do, consider taking a minute to nominate that person for a "We Are!" Fill out a short online form, or for more information about the process, visit the "We Are!" guidelines.
