University Health Services recognizes student staff, volunteers

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — University Health Services (UHS) is recognizing its student staff for their outstanding work and dedication throughout the 2015-16 academic year.

During the month of April, UHS is recognizing the excellent work of more 160 student volunteers. UHS offers opportunities to students in the areas of clinical services, emergency medical services, health promotion, and physical therapy. Students in these programs collectively contribute thousands of hours to extend the programs and services offered by UHS.

“Each day our clinic and physical therapy volunteers, HealthWorks peer educators, and EMTs are hard at work assisting patients, educating students to make healthy decisions, and providing vital services for the campus and local community,” said Robin Oliver, senior director of UHS. “Their efforts are instrumental to University Health Services’ ability to heal, educate, and care for students and the Penn State community.”Visit http://studentaffairs.psu.edu/health/volunteer/ for more information about volunteer opportunities in UHS.
