UPUA hosting "PSU Votes Week" March 14-18

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) is hosting a series of events from March 14 to 18 to encourage civic participation by students.

UPUA will be promoting voter registration through an online program called TurboVote, which is designed to streamline a variety of voter services through a single website -- https://psu.turbovote.org/register/, including voter registration, absentee ballot requests and receiving alerts of voting and voter registration deadlines. UPUA will have voter registration tables set up on the first floor of the HUB-Robeson Center on Monday, March 14; Wednesday, March 16; and Friday, March 18.

On Monday, March 14, UPUA will partner with the College Republicans and College Democrats to host a debate on debt and student loans at 8 p.m. in 262 Willard.

A meet-the-candidates session for UPUA student government election will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, in 302 Willard.

UPUA will host a student town hall meeting with Penn State President Eric Barron at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, at the Hintz Family Alumni Center. Students will be able to ask questions at the event, or submit questions online at studentforum.psu.edu.

Lastly, UPUA will host a meet and greet with local state legislators and municipal leaders at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, in 134 HUB-Robeson Center.
