Penn State flutists to perform March 22
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Flute Studio and Flute Choir will present a recital at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, in Esber Recital Hall. Admission is free.
The program will feature famous orchestral excerpts for flute, defined as "a standard repertoire of music commonly requested at orchestra auditions." These excerpts are either particularly demanding passages played as a flute section or exposed solos found in the orchestral canon.
The Flute Choir is conducted by studio members Theresa Bunger and Irissa Hubka. The Flute Studio and Flute Choir are instructed by faculty member Naomi Seidman.
