Parking office announces spring break transit, parking changes

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Transportation Services and CATA have announced several changes to parking and transit services in effect next week during Penn State’s spring break.

Transit and Shuttle Service

CATA will operate its Reduced Service schedule beginning Saturday, March 5 through Saturday, March 12. During this time, there will be no White Loop or Green Link service, while Blue Loop and Red Link service will be available Monday through Friday only with a reduced service schedule. Full service will resume on Sunday, March 13.

Penn State’s Paratransit Shuttle will be out of service from Saturday, March 5, through Sunday, March 13. Normal service will resume on Monday, March 14.

Parking

With reduced CATA service during spring break, faculty/staff Commuter permits will be valid at the following parking areas beginning Monday, March 7 through Friday, March 11:

  • East Deck
  • Eisenhower Deck
  • Nittany Deck
  • Lot Red A
  • All Orange lots

All normal student parking rules and regulations will remain in effect during spring break.

Office Hours and Contact Information

Fleet Operations and CATA’s customer service center will all observe normal business hours during spring break.

The Parking Office will close its Eisenhower Parking Deck location for approximately two months beginning at noon Monday, March 7. A temporary office will open at University Support Building (USB) I beginning at 7:30 a. m. Wednesday, March 9. All Parking Information Kiosks will remain open on Tuesday, March 8, while Parking Office staff move into the USB I location.
