S.T.A.R.T. conference to provide diversity awareness in business

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Smeal College of Business’ 2016 S.T.A.R.T. Conference, or Striving Toward Awareness & Respect for Tomorrow, is a professional development conference to increase diversity awareness in corporate settings.

The conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 31 in the Nittany Lion Inn and will include speakers Rod Adams, U.S. recruiting leader for PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Wanda Bryant Hope, chief diversity officer for Johnson & Johnson. There will be networking opportunities as well as workshops on diversity, awareness and corporate initiatives.

Other sponsors include Boeing, Shell, Spectra Energy and Unilever.
