ERIE, Pa. — Penn State Behrend's basketball teams hold the No. 2 seeds heading into the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championships. Both teams have byes in the first round of the tournament; they return to the court Feb. 27.

The campus' volleyball and track and field teams also were in action last week. Here are the highlights.

Men's basketball

Hilbert 63, Penn State Behrend 59

Pitt-Greensburg 77, Penn State Behrend 72

The Lions have the No. 2 seed in the AMCC playoffs despite losing their final two games of the regular season. They play again on Feb. 27.

Women's basketball

Penn State Behrend 75, Hilbert 66

Penn State Behrend 60, Pitt-Greensburg 50

The women's team has won its last six games and has the No. 2 seed in the AMCC tournament. They play again on Feb. 27.

Men's volleyball

Vassar 3, Penn State Behrend 1

Penn State Behrend 3, Bard 0

Men's track and field

Cody Cornell, a senior from Conneaut Lake, set a school record in the 500-meter run at the Brockport Golden Eagle Invitational, finishing in 1:06.73. He qualified for the Eastern College Athletic Conference championships, which will be held March 4 in Staten Island, New York.

Women's track and field

Paige Allen, a junior from Butler, won the 60-meter and 200-meter runs at the Brockport Golden Eagle Invitational. Both finishing times — 7.84 seconds in the 60 and 25.89 in the 200 — were her best for the season. Rachel Pell, a sophomore from Elizabeth, set a school record in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing in 9.74 seconds.
