Three Lehigh Valley athletes honored by PSUAC

Three players from the Penn State Lehigh Valley women's basketball program have been recognized by the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) for their outstanding performances throughout the 2015-16 season. 

Andrea Watkins - sphomore (Emmaus, Pennsylvania/ Emmaus High School)
Watkins named co-player of the year and first team All-Conference
-First athlete in Penn State Lehigh Valley athletic history to be named Player of the Year.
-Finished ranked second in conference in scoring, averaging 19.4 points per game.
-Compiled 408 points on the season.

Hannah Bankes - sophomore (Lyon Station, Pennsylvania/ Kutztown High School)
Named second team All-Conference
-Finished ranked third in conference in scoring, averaging 18.8 points per game.
-Compiled 319 points on the season.

Ashley Gordon- Junior (Bethlehem, Pennsylvania/ Freedom High School)
Named honorable mention All-Conference
-Finished ranked seventh in conference in scoring, averaging 15 points per game.
-Compiled 359 points on the season.

Lehigh Valley's triple threat led Lehigh Valley to a 17-7 overall record and a 11-3 PSUAC record and the number three seed in the PSUAC tournament. Lehigh Valley beat Penn State Wilkes Barre, 92-49, in the first round of the tournament before losing to second seed Penn State Hazleton, 76-71. Lehigh Valley has no seniors on the team and will look to make a championship push in the 2016-17 season.
