February 17, 2016

Penn State Berks students will be “lending their paws for a good cause” as they volunteer at a variety of nonprofit organizations during the academic year. The following is a list of community service initiatives in March 2016.

Wednesday, March 2, 1–2:30 p.m.
Students will socialize with residents of Country Meadows while competing with and alongside them in a high energy game of bocce ball.

Wednesday, March 23, 4–5 p.m.
Volunteers will participate in a Reading Enrichment Program with the youth at the Olivet Boys and Girls Club at the Walnut Street location.

Friday, March 25, 1–2 p.m.
Students will walk dogs, clean kennels, and assist with donation inventory at the Animal Rescue League.

Tuesday, March 29, 1–9 p.m.
Students will turn Opportunity House into a five-star restaurant as they volunteer in a variety of jobs including decorators, sous chefs, chefs, servers, and hosts. The dining hall will be decorated for a themed dinner, which will be served in four courses complete with Penn State Creamery ice cream for dessert.
