National Wear Red Day observed at Penn State Hershey

On Friday, Feb. 5, Penn State Hershey faculty and staff donned red in recognition of National Wear Red Day.

The American Heart Association started National Wear Red Day and the Go Red for Women campaign in 2004 to raise public awareness of the prevalence of heart disease in women.

Penn State Hershey Heart and Vascular Institute is proud to work with the American Heart Association and Go Red for Women campaign with events and educational programs throughout the year.

Throughout February, Penn State Hershey and the American Heart Association will distribute educational materials to restaurants, coffee shops, salons and other organizations throughout the Harrisburg region to educate women about the warning signs of a heart attack.
