As the facilities and safety coordinator, Pearce is the liaison between the College of Education and the Office of Physical Plant, Environmental Health and Safety, and Telecommunications. Additionally, she works with other University departments, building professionals and contractors, and vendors in all matters related to facility projects and programs. She plays an important role in the planning and execution of major renovations such as the new Social Studies Lab. Pearce also is the primary contact for college facilities emergencies such as leaks, water shutoffs, etc.
Pearce also serves as the access and security representative (ASR) for the college. In this role, she works with the University’s AIS Security Office and reviews all college requests for access to secure data (e.g., iTwo, IBIS, LionPATH). Pearce also manages the college’s lost and found and provides administrative support to the finance office.
