Medical Center staff providing a healthy presence at Farm Show

Over the course of this week, more than 80 Penn State Hershey staff members are providing health-related services and information at the 100th Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg.

Our work with partner organizations at the event includes:

  • Administering flu shots with the Pennsylvania Department of Health. They are free and available for anyone six months of age or older. Vaccinations are taking place each weekday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday, Jan. 16, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Blood pressure checks that took place on Jan. 11 at the Pennsylvania Department of Aging display.
  • Educating visitors about the health benefits of milk, in concert with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.

This marks the fifth consecutive year that Penn State Hershey has been present for the Farm Show, which is hailed as the largest agricultural exposition in the United States.
