Employee Assistance Fund

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State's Office of Human Resources has an Employee Assistance Fund to support employees who may be in need.

Circumstances may include -- but are not necessarily limited to -- family tragedies, destruction of home or property by fire or other disaster, short-term disabilities where income is impacted; uncompensated funeral expenses, catastrophic or unusual medical expenses not otherwise covered by insurance and any other temporary hardships beyond an employee's control.

The fund was created as an endowment with its annual yield used to support employees who may be in need. The process for applying for assistance is described in Human Resources policy l00.
