The students of BA 422W, Strategic Business Planning, at Penn State Greater Allegheny, will present a strategic plan for the McKeesport Regional History and Heritage Center at 3:30 p.m. Saturday,  Dec. 5, in the Ostermayer Room of the Student Community Center on campus. The class spent the fall semester performing an in-depth study of the business strategies of the Heritage Center.  The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.

Strategic Business Planning is the capstone course of the Bachelor of Science in Business (BSB.) The instructor, Michelle Hough, associate professor of business, enjoys working each semester with the students on a ‘real-life’ project.

“The students learn so much when we examine an actual organization, like the McKeesport Regional History and Heritage Center. They get to deeply engage in actual business practices and challenges.” said Hough.

The class is expected to provide information and strategies for future development. In past years, they have provided mission and vision statements, and recommendations for improvements.

After the presentation, members of the Heritage Center will ask questions, and provide feedback to the class.
