CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Carol Buddock, administrative assistant at Penn State Lehigh Valley, will retire from the University on Nov. 30 after 30 years of service.

Buddock, of Allentown, began in the campus’ word processing department in 1985, where she did the typing and copying for the campus. About one year later, Buddock moved to the Registrar’s Office where she has remained since.

Spending 30 years at Penn State Lehigh Valley has meant a great deal to Buddock. She said watching the campus move from the Fogelsville location to Center Valley was very exciting.

"I am grateful to have been able to work with really great people," she said. "Also, watching the students come in as freshmen then mature and go on to graduate has meant the most to me."

When asked about her future, Buddock said she is looking forward to spending time with her grandkids — her most important priority. She said she also hopes to finally finish many of the projects she has started over the years.

Many of Buddock’s friends, family and colleagues will attend a retirement celebration for her from 5-7 p.m. on her last day of work, Nov. 30, at the Lehigh Valley campus.
