Penn State Lehigh Valley women's basketball defeats LCCC, 73-36

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — The Penn State Lehigh Valley women's basketball team improved to 2-2 on the season with a win over host Lehigh Carbon Community College, 73-36, Saturday afternoon, Nov. 21.  

Lehigh Valley jumped out to a 22-13 first-quarter lead and carried the momentum into halftime leading 40-21. The second half proved to be the same as the Lions led by as many as 33 points after the third quarter before gaining the 73-36 victory.

Five Lehigh Valley players scored in double figures. Leading the way for the Lions was freshman Llaci Henry with a game-high 18 points. Junior Ashley Gordon shot better than 50 percent from the field, scoring 15 points.

Freshman Lizzy Leiby chipped in with 12 points and sophomore Andrea Watkins contributed 11. Sophomore Nicole Amann came off the bench to knock in 10 points. Freshman Gia Erie and sophomore Kereece Seuren recorded 10 rebounds each.
