UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- As the Penn State Board of Trustees gathered Nov. 20, two governor-appointed members made their debut.

Robert Capretto, a business owner, and Elliott Weinstein, president of Weinstein Realty Consultants, began terms that expire in 2018. Capretto replaces Todd Rucci, whose term expired; Weinstein replaces Kathleen Casey, who was elected by the board to an at-large seat.

Weinstein’s York-based Weinstein Realty Consultants provides real estate tax consulting services to property owners of industrial buildings, apartment complexes and office buildings, regional shopping centers, hotel/motel and senior living facilities. Capretto, a former Penn State defensive back who graduated in 1967, is a business owner and retired orthodontist living in Pittsburgh.

Capretto and Weinstein join Clifford G. Benson Jr., Mark H. Dambly, Allison S. Goldstein and Paul H. Silvis as the other governor-appointed trustees.
