UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. --All are invited to attend the "Science of Learning Science," hosted by the State College American Association of University Women (AAUW). There will be STEM displays, networking, refreshments, and a speech by Jackie Bortiatynski, director for excellence in the Eberly College of Science at Penn State. In her speech, Bortiatynski will explain how facilitating small group work in large group settings is central to enhancing student learning in the sciences. Sponsored by the AAUW’s STEM branch, the event will be on Thursday, Nov. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Discovery Space, 112 West Foster Ave., State College, Pennsylvania.
