Penn State’s strategic plan will serve as the University’s roadmap from 2016-2020. The University Strategic Planning Council was tasked with overseeing the process of identifying and articulating the University’s priorities and goals into a strategic plan for Penn State.

Nicholas Jones, executive vice president and provost, has been sharing iterations of the plan with Penn State leadership and numerous constituencies throughout the two-year planning process.

“It’s very important for us for to give members of the Penn State community the opportunity to review the plan and offer thoughtful feedback at every step along the process,” Jones said. “This is a strategic plan that’s been molded and refined by our University students, faculty, staff and alumni because this document represents our collective future.”

After receiving feedback from the Penn State community, Jones will present a final version of the proposal to the Board of Trustees Committee on Governance and Long Range Planning on Nov. 19.
