Workshop for student veterans slated for Oct. 26 at Penn State Berks

READING, Pa. — The Penn State Berks Office of Veterans Services will hold an information workshop for student veterans on veteran benefits from 1-2:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, in the multipurpose room of the Perkins Student Center.

Elizabeth Graybill, Berks County veteran services officer and woman veteran services coordinator, will provide student veterans with information on Veterans Affairs health care and benefit programs, including information on service connected benefits, non-service connected benefits, education, as well as other federal, state and county services. She will also be available to answer questions.

Student veterans who attend the workshop will have the necessary tools and information to complete key tasks such as accessing their DD214, certificate of eligibility, health care enrollment, and other documentation needed for VA benefits.

According to Joe Webb, director of Student Support Services at Penn State Berks, “With the scope of student veterans who will be in attendance, the representatives should be able to answer just about any question that comes their way. This is a great opportunity for our student veterans to get any questions they may have off their chests.”
