Penn State Lehigh Valley Benefiting THON to host 5K Fun Run/Walk Nov. 1

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Penn State Lehigh Valley Benefiting THON is hosting a 5K Fun Run/Walk at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, at the Hanover Township Community Center, located at 3660 Jacksonville Road in Bethlehem.

The event is open to the public. The cost is $15 per person and includes a T-shirt. To sign up, visit the Hanover Township Community Center online at http://hanovercommunitycenter.com or call 610-317-8701. Students can also sign up in-person with one of the Penn State Lehigh Valley Benefiting THON executive board members.

Refreshments, raffles, prizes and goodie bags will be on hand for all participants. The 5K Fun Run/Walk is the fourth event this year that has supported Penn State Lehigh Valley benefiting THON fundraising. To date, nearly $7,000 has been raised.

The 2016 Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON) will take place Feb. 19 to 21 at the Bryce Jordan Center on Penn State's University Park campus. More than 700 students from Penn State campuses and organizations will dance continuously for 46 hours to raise money for pediatric cancer research and treatments.
