Assistant Professor of Education Maria Lewis was recently named the recipient of the 2015 Joseph C. Beckham Dissertation of the Year Award. Sponsored by the Education Law Association, the award recognizes the research endeavors of a doctoral student who completes a dissertation that has a theoretical base, clearly addresses an important issue in education, and demonstrates a sound methodological approach.
