School of Music hosting fall visit day Oct. 12

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State School of Music will be hosting a fall visit day on Monday, Oct. 12, for high school students in grades nine through 12 to explore the opportunities available as a Penn State music major. The School of Music offers degrees in a variety of performance and education majors, while providing students with the experiences they need to prepare for exciting and productive professional careers.

Fall visit day events are scheduled so that prospective students can visit with faculty and students between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Classes, private lessons, and ensembles will be open to all observers, and registrants are encouraged to participate in rehearsals. Informational sessions will also be held regarding study abroad opportunities and financial aid. In addition, participants will have the chance to visit Leete Hall, the newly renovated residence hall that serves as the College of Arts and Architecture Interest House.
