School of Music's Spotlight Concert Series debuts Sept. 9

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State School of Music presents its first faculty Spotlight Concert at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, in Esber Recital Hall. The Spotlight Concert Series will offer performances throughout the school year showcasing the School of Music's outstanding faculty members performing in chamber music settings.

Tickets are $18 for general admission and $2 for students. For advance tickets, contact the Penn State Arts Ticket Center. Patronage of the Spotlight Concert Series provides support for music scholarships.

The concert will be live-streamed on the Penn State School of Music's website.

* Paul Basler's "Songs and Dances" is performed in conjunction with the 2015-16 theme of the School of Music — "Music & Dance: Exploring Connections Between Two Art Forms," a yearlong series of performances, classes and presentations that focus on the unique relationship between music and human movement.
