YORK, Pa. -- Penn State York is offering three Adult Student Information Nights, designed to assist adults in exploring educational opportunities available at the campus, no matter if they are taking college classes for the first time or returning to the classroom. The first session runs from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, in the admissions office in the Main Classroom Building. Two additional information nights will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 15 and Nov. 19. These programs are free.
Information about starting or finishing a degree, earning a certificate, or taking classes as a nondegree student will be discussed. Other topics include the admissions process, online course offerings, accelerated degree programs, financial aid options, and support services for adult students at Penn State York.
The 90-minute program also includes a tour of the campus.
An adult student at Penn State is someone who is age 24 or older; a veteran of the armed services; returning to school after four or more years of employment, homemaking or other activity; or a person who assumes multiple roles such as a parent, spouse/partner, employee and student.
