Ocean Science symposium set for July 14

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- To celebrate the first year of the Penn State Center for Marine Science and Technology (CMAST), "Imagining the Future of Ocean Science," will be held on July 14 in the Lewis Katz Building. 

The symposium will bring in speakers from the U.S. Navy, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, The Consortium for Ocean Leadership, the National Science Foundation and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management. Research by Penn State faculty and graduate students will also be presented, and President Eric Barron will give opening remarks.
