UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — This week, we recognize seven Penn Staters who go above and beyond what's asked of them in their work at the University. Thank you to:

Marcia Fink, Penny Grove and Colleen Perryman, with the Office of Physical Plant, whose nominator wrote: "They always offer a warm greeting and a ready smile and will show Outreach Building guests to meeting rooms and our testing center. Their pride in the quality and condition of the building is apparent, and during holidays, they take extra time to build festive displays complete with treats."

Lisa Hipkins, at Penn State Harrisburg, whose nominator wrote: "Lisa is perhaps the most essential parts of our campus life team. She works late hours to ensure that our students have the best opportunity to learn the practices and grow their leadership."

Lynne Fazio, at Penn State Worthington Scranton, whose nominator wrote: "Lynne always tries to support any campus events whether it be a diversity speaker or student activities. She is also always willing to lend a helping hand without needing recognition."

Lilian Garces, in the College of Education, whose nominator wrote: "Dr. Garces shows compassion and genuinely cares about her students. She affirms students' efforts while at the same time challenges them to give more and be their best. She takes time out of her schedule to help students be successful."

Andy Puleo, at Penn State Shenango, whose nominator wrote: "In just six months, Andy has really helped to inspire a whole new group of student leaders on campus. He actively seeks out students to get them involved and engaged in campus activities and programs."

Do you know someone who deserves a shout-out? If you do, consider taking a minute to nominate that person by filling out a short online form. For more information about the process, visit the "We Are!" guidelines
