Lindberg selected as speaker for TEDxPSU 2015

February 26, 2015

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa -- TEDxPSU 2015 has selected Darla Lindberg, Penn State’s Stuckeman School Chair of Design Innovation and professor of architecture, as one of the speakers for the Sunday, March 1, exposition of ideas.

Lindberg actively engages broad challenges facing humanity and advocates a systems-approach to problem identity involving multiple domains. The cornerstone of Lindberg’s work is the belief that each and every person – from boots-on-the-ground to policy formation – must play an integral part in affecting a solution. She has been recognized for excellence in teaching and applies a "horse whisperer's" sense to getting the very best out of her students.

The theme of TEDxPSU 2015 is “Push to Start” and will examine the motivation within influential individuals that sparks them into action. The event will include pre-recorded videos in addition to live speakers. Lindberg, a registered architect and tenured professor, joins a poet, a blogger, a sports journalist, a freelance writer, a coach, a mathematician and an artist – all dynamic representatives of their respective disciplines.

Registration for TEDxPSU is open and can be found at

WPSU will live stream the event on campus Channel 4.11 from 9:45 pm to 4 p.m. on the date of the event.
