Board of Trustees takes action on several agenda items

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State's Board of Trustees today (Jan. 16) approved an extension of a development services agreement with the Research Park Management Corp. to manage, supervise and coordinate the development of Innovation Park at Penn State through Jan. 31, 2016. The action extends the 10-year agreement approved in November 2004 and a short-term extension approved through Jan. 31, 2015, during the November 2014 board meeting

In addition, the board approved:

-- the appointment of a designer for the Lasch Football Building locker/equipment room renovations; 

-- the appointment of design build teams Burns and McDonnell, of Kansas City, Missouri, and The Efficiency Network of Pittsburgh, to building Energy Savings Program projects for the University;

-- the design firm of EYP of New York, New York, for the renovation of the Agricultural Engineering Building, and approved final plans and authorized funds for Housing and Food Services Warehouse and Bakery Expansion, both at the University Park campus;

-- final plans and authorized funds for the renovation of Baker Building at Penn State Beaver;

-- a one-time accommodation for membership on the Selection Group on Board members for at-large trustees; and

-- the date of May 7, 2015, for delegate election of agricultural trustees, and for counting ballots received from the election of alumni trustees; and May 8, 2015, as the date for the election of business and industry, at-large, faculty and student trustees.
