Bilingualism Matters@Penn State to host public forum Jan. 19

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- A public forum about the importance of bilingualism and a discussion on language learning for people of all ages will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, in Schlow Centre Region Library's Downsbrough Community Room. The “Embracing Diversity: Lessons from Second Language Learning” forum is sponsored by Bilingualism Matters@Penn State, a new initiative of Penn State’s Center for Language Science. The public is invited to attend this free event.

The center recently became the first U.S. chapter of Bilingualism Matters, an international organization that interfaces current research on bilingualism and second language learning with local community members and schools.
