January 14, 2015

Penn State Berks students will be volunteering in the community in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 19. They will volunteer at Opportunity House and at the Animal Rescue League from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition, they will hold several volunteer activities on campus, including organizing supply drives for Opportunity House and Berks Women-in-Crisis; planning the logistics for the spring Camp Out for Hunger event, designed to raise funds and awareness of homelessness in Berks County; and writing “thank you” letters to veterans serving overseas.
