Lee Ann De Reus, associate professor of human development and family studies and women's studies at Penn State Altoona, has been named to the Lasell College Distinguished Donahue Scholar Series for 2015.

The Distinguished Scholar Lecture Series spotlights different academic connections to social justice and provides an opportunity for Lasell College students to interact with accomplished academics in different fields. Previous Scholars include Howard Zinn, an American historian, author, playwright and social activist.

De Reus will spend four days in residency in October and give the campus address, "Daring to Make a Difference: Activism, Congo and Finding Your Voice for Global Change.”
