Student parking registration to begin Jan. 6 exclusively online

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Student parking registration for the spring 2015 semester will begin at noon Tuesday, Jan. 6, exclusively on the Transportation Services website.

With the exception of commuter students, undergraduate students must have completed at least 28 credits prior to the date of registration in order to be eligible for on-campus parking. Upon completing the registration, students will have access to a printable temporary permit that may be used for parking until the permanent permit has been received at the student’s campus or local mailbox.

Students eligible for upgrades to a base student permit, such as graduate assistants, student-athletes and those with a state-issued ADA placard, must visit the Parking Office to obtain their upgraded permit. However, registration for a base student permit needs to be completed online prior to applying for any upgrades.

To ensure accurate account information is entered and prompt permit delivery, students should be aware of the following registration requirements:

-- License plate numbers must be entered as one interrupted number. Spaces and/or dashes should not be included when entering a license plate number.

-- Students must provide their full local or campus address, including street number and apartment number if applicable.

-- Off-campus students must have established residency with their local post office prior to registering for a permit. Contact your local post office for more information.

Visit the Student Parking page for more information on parking permit rates, the registration process and how to purchase a permit online. The Parking Office can be reached by phone at 814-865-1436 or by email at parking@psu.edu.
