Workshop discusses financial literacy for students

Money Counts: a Financial Literacy Series

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- “What is financial literacy?", a workshop for students, will be presented 5:30-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, in Foster Auditorium, 102 Paterno Library, University Park.

In this workshop, Daad Rizk, Penn State financial literacy coordinator, will present for students an overview of financial literacy and give specific steps and tips to examine and alter core attitudes and beliefs about money management as a prelude to reaching a successful financial life.

The presentation is part of "Money Counts: a Financial Literacy Series," a collaborative effort of the Penn State Commission for Adult Learners and the University Libraries. The mission of the series is to help students learn the ability to use knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively for a lifetime of financial well-being.
