The circus is coming to town, and the ringmaster happens to have this show down to a science.
Nationally-known juggling extraordinaire Rhys Thomas will perform “Science Circus” on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. The program, which begins at 7 p.m. in the McGarvey Commons of the campus’ Reed Union Building, is free and open to the public.
“Science Circus” is a fast-paced, one-man show in which Thomas blends daredevil stunts with comedy. Bowling ball juggling teaches viewers about gravity, glass bowl spinning illustrates gyroscopic stability, cowboy lariats show centripetal force, a 6-foot tall unicycle demonstrates center of balance and a tablecloth pull teaches inertia.
Thomas has been performing “Science Circus” for more than 20 years, traveling across the United States and to a number of countries, including Singapore, Trinidad and the United Arab Emirates.
