Penn State group to mark United Nations Day on Oct. 24

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State International Affairs and Debate Association will be celebrating United Nations Day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, with an information table set up throughout the day on the main floor of the HUB-Robeson Cultural Center. 

The group will be promoting the U.N.'s daily work and global initiatives as well as ways that citizens can get involved. The theme this year is "Global Citizens and Youth."

Students will have a chance to vote on what issues matter to them most, and the information will be sent to the U.N. Visitors will also be able to sign a thank you note for U.N. peacekeepers.
