UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- After a return to the NCAA Championships in 2014, the Penn State women's gymnastics program will host five meets during the 2015 season. Penn State's home slate includes a pair of quad meets and three Big Ten competitions.

"We are excited to be bringing a variety of competitions to Rec Hall for our fans this season, starting with our season opening quad meet on January 10," said head coach Jeff Thompson. "We will also host a double dual meet with our men's team, two standard dual meets and a quad meet on Senior Night. I am sure that our incredible fan base will enjoy welcoming some of the top teams in the northeast and the nation to Happy Valley in 2015.

"We are thrilled that our team brings back so much experience with our four seniors and three sophomores. They are ready to build off of last season's NCAA Championship appearance and the coaching staff is excited to find a way to showcase the outstanding talents of our four newcomers this season."

Penn State will open its season at home for the first time since 2009 and contest five of their first eight meets inside of the historic Recreation Building. A quad meet with Cornell, New Hampshire and Rutgers opens the season on Saturday, Jan. 10 before the Nittany Lions hit the road to face off with 2014 Super Six participant Nebraska on Saturday, Jan. 17.

On Saturday, Jan. 24, Penn State welcomes Maryland in a double-dual meet with the men's program, which is followed by a trip to Illinois on Saturday, Jan. 31.

Three of their four meets in February will be contested on the University Park campus, starting with a Saturday, Feb. 7 meeting with Michigan State. The annual "Flip for a Cure" meet will take place on Saturday, Feb. 14 when the Blue and White host Ohio State. After a trip to the University of Pittsburgh on Saturday, Feb. 21 to face off with one of their oldest rivals, Penn State will close out their home schedule with a quad-meet that includes Brockport, Iowa State and Penn on Saturday, Feb. 28.

The final two meets of the regular season will take place on the road, starting with a trip to West Virginia on Sunday, March 8. The Blue and White's Big Ten finale will be contested in Minneapolis, as the Nittany Lions will join Iowa, Michigan, host Minnesota and Rutgers on Saturday, March 14 to compete for a spot in the evening session at the 2015 Big Ten Championships.

The championship schedule begins on March 21 in Ann Arbor, Mich. with the Big Ten Championships. The Crisler Center will host the two session competition, with the format placing four teams in the morning session and six teams in the evening session - mimicking the NCAA Regional and NCAA Championship double-bye format. The five-team Big Ten competitions on March 14 will determine the teams in each session.

The NCAA Regional Championships will be hosted at campus sites on Saturday, April 4 and the top two teams from each of the six sites, which include Auburn, California, Iowa State, Ohio State, Oklahoma and West Virginia, will advance to the NCAA Championships.

The NCAA summit will be contested in Dallas-Fort Worth this season from Friday, April 17 through Sunday, April 19 at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Team and individual qualifying will take place on Friday, April 17 and the Super Six competition will crown a team champion on Saturday, April 18. The individual event champions will be crowed on Sunday, April 19.
