10th annual pre-tenure symposium scheduled for Oct. 17

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The tenth annual pre-tenure symposium, “Equity and Inclusion: Successfully Navigating the Promotion and Tenure Process,” sponsored by the President’s Commissions for Equity and hosted by the University Libraries, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17 in the Foster Auditorium of Paterno Library on the University Park campus.  Registration is open, at no cost, to members of the Penn State community. Sessions will address issues important to early tenure-line faculty from underrepresented groups, including women. Blannie Bowen, vice provost for Academic Affairs, will speak on “Strategies for Moving Forward.”
