Penn State Shenango will hold its 3rd annual Dr. Jane A. Williams Memorial 5K Run/1.5 Mile Walk beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Shenango campus located in downtown Sharon, Pa. The event is in honor of Williams, who was employed at the Shenango campus for 25 years before passing away after a brief illness.“We have had a great turnout for this event the past two years and are hoping that it continues to grow,” said assistant director of Student Affairs Jammie Clark. “Jane was all about the students; she would be so pleased to know that they are benefitting from this event in her memory.”Registration forms are available in the Student Affairs Office, Sharon Hall, Room 103, or online at http://shenango.psu.edu/jane5k. Runners and walkers can register until 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event. The cost is $15 for runners and $10 for walkers until Sept. 19. After Sept. 19, the cost is $20 for runners and $15 for walkers.
