Penn State Lehigh Valley announces new faculty appointments

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Penn State Lehigh Valley has announced the following appointments to its faculty:

Elizabeth Flaherty, has been appointed coordinator of the arts administration degree program and full-time instructor in art history. Flaherty received her doctoral degree from Temple University. She had previously taught art at both Northampton and Lehigh Carbon Community Colleges and the Baum School of Art.

Lorraine Ford has been appointed program coordinator and full-time instructor in Information Sciences and Technology. Ford received her master of science degree in computer science from Villanova University. She previously served as manager and instructional designer at Temple University and taught at Gwynedd-Mercy College and Philadelphia University.

Daniel Jackson, has been appointed full-time instructor in astronomy, physics and math. He received his doctoral degree in physics from Lehigh University where he also served as a teaching assistant. He is a member of the American Physical Society and the Optical Society of America.

Anita Yuskauskas, has been appointed program coordinator and full-time instructor in Health Policy Administration and Rehabilitation and Human Services. She received her doctoral degree in rehabilitation from Syracuse University. She previously taught at the University of Delaware in Newark, and also served as technical director at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in Baltimore, Maryland.
