The Penn Stater magazine seeks memories of dorm life

Living in the residence halls can create vivid memories — both good and bad — and The Penn Stater magazine wants to hear about them.

Whether it was a memorable roommate, a particularly helpful (or overly strict) RA, the shared bathrooms or staying up all night to play poker or Xbox, the magazine invites alums to share their memories. Stories about the TV lounge, the hall telephone, dorm pranks, new friendships — whatever stands out years after graduation — all are possibilities for submission.

Stories (300 words or less) can be emailed to or mailed to The Penn Stater magazine, Hintz Family Alumni Center, University Park, PA 16802. Submissions should include an address and a daytime phone number.

The best tales will be printed in an upcoming issue of The Penn Stater magazine. Submissions are due by July 21, and may be edited for length and clarity.
