Student art show continues through May 9 at Penn State York

YORK, Pa. -- The artwork of Penn State York students is featured on the north glass lobbies of the second and third floors of the campus’ Pullo Family Performing Arts Center during the spring art show, which continues through May 9.

Twenty-one original pieces by 10 students are part of the show. The exhibit is sponsored by the Penn State York Visual Arts Club.

Student artists showing their work are Allison Crowl, Red Lion, Pa.; Michael Culbreth, New Freedom, Pa.; Jennifer Leech, York, Pa.; Mary Lee, East Berlin, Pa.; Allison Ramon-Lara, Manchester, Pa.; Zoe Merisotis, Dover, Pa.; Colleen Witkowski, Jacobus, Pa.; Hannah York, York, Pa.; Molly York, York, Pa.; and Qingyang Yu, York, Pa.  Some works are for sale and range in price from $10 to $150. 

Beth Groden, an art teacher at the New Oxford Elementary School, Conewago Valley School District, is serving as a judge for the show.  Fred Haag, associate professor of visual arts, is the adviser for the Visual Arts Club.

Hours for the exhibition are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
