Tickets are now available for Penn State football coach James Franklin’s May 22 program at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. The 6 p.m. reception will be the final stop in a 17-event Coaches Caravan sponsored by the Penn State Alumni Association and the Nittany Lion Club.

Assistant coach Herb Hand will join Franklin in Erie. Hand, who coaches the offensive line and coordinates Penn State’s running game, worked with Franklin at Vanderbilt University, where the Commodores had consecutive nine-win seasons and two bowl victories.

Penn State softball coach Amanda Lehotak and men’s volleyball coach Mark Pavlik also will attend the Penn State Behrend event. They will highlight Penn State’s "One Team” philosophy, which links athletes on 31 varsity teams and at 24 campuses to promote both athletic and academic success.

Tickets for the Penn State Behrend reception cost $40 for members of the Penn State Alumni Association and the Nittany Lion Club. Nonmembers may attend for $55 or for $15 if they are younger than 18.

The Coaches Caravan begins May 1 in State College. Additional stops include Penn State York, Penn State Fayette, the Pennsylvania College of Technology and Franklin’s alma mater, East Stroudsburg University. The tour also will visit alumni strongholds in Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
