Center for Enterprise Architecture finalizes co-marketing agreement with Gartner

The Center for Enterprise Architecture (EA) at Penn State’s College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) recently finalized a co-marketing agreement with Gartner, the world's leading information technology research and advisory company.

“This is the first of what I hope to be a number of such co-marketing agreements with other professional organizations and analyst firms,” said Brian Cameron, executive director of the Center for Enterprise Architecture.

As part of the agreement, which is the first of its kind that Gartner has done with a university, the company will provide information on the Center for EA and the EA Master of Professional Studies (MPS) program at an EA-related events at no cost to the center. In return, the Center for EA will email information to center members on the Gartner EA events.

“The articles that Gartner has written about the Center for EA got us a lot of great publicity and this takes the relationship to the next level,” Cameron said.

In addition to the co-marketing agreement, Gartner has invited Cameron to chair a new special interest group on enterprise architecture education and professional development.

The purpose of the Center for Enterprise Architecture, which was established in 2011, is to gather intellectual resources across Penn State to address open important research concerns and questions that span the design, functioning and governance of contemporary information-driven enterprises.

Gartner is an information technology research and advisory company providing technology related insight. Research provided by this company is targeted at CIOs and senior information technology leaders in industries that include government agencies, high-tech and telecommunications enterprises, professional services firms, and technology investors.
