Proposals sought for 2014 Conference on Academic Advising

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Division of Undergraduate Studies is accepting proposals through May 16 for the 13th annual Professional Development Conference on Academic Advising. This year’s conference takes place Wednesday, Oct. 1, at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel and will focus on “Advising Smarter: Theoretical Foundations and Practical Applications for Student Success.”

Conference sessions will address the various ways advisers can teach students to plan and manage successful college experiences and will include research, strategies and/or best practices advisers can utilize to help students become good stewards of their educations.
