ROTC units to honor top students March 27

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Army, Navy and Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) units at Penn State will recognize top performers at the annual Joint Service Awards Ceremony at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at Schwab Auditorium.

More than 100 cadets and midshipmen will be honored for academic excellence as well as military achievement. Top awards include the Department of the Army Senior Superior Cadet Award, Professor of Naval Science Award and Professor of Aerospace Studies Superior Cadet Award, all of which are awarded to the student in each program who best exemplifies the ideals and conduct of an officer.

Additionally, Penn State will bestow the Vice President’s Award to a senior in each unit for excellent scholarly performance, dynamic leadership and an extraordinary dedication to duty. Award winners will be available following the ceremony for photo opportunities.
